Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has said the intended peaceful protests that have been completely hijacked by hoodlums is a disrespect to those who lost their lives in the protests.
The singer disclosed this in a tweet on his Twitter page
Davido said the peaceful protest which was hijacked by hoodlums has turned to anarchy.
“It is painful that what started as a peaceful protest has been hijacked and turned into complete Anarchy, in total disrespect to those that lost their lives during the Peaceful protest. This is def not the way to honour those that lost their lives while protesting peacefully.
The singer also condemned the burning of government and private properties by the hoodlums adding that there is no achievement in burning private properties that are meant to create employment for the unemployed.
“What is there to gain from burning and looting private businesses that provide employment to our people?? Or burgling or burning houses belong to innocent citizens?! Or burning Buses that our people depend on for transport to go to work and go about their lives???
The ‘FEM’ crooner urged those involved in the such at to stop stressing that it makes no sense.
“Why burn police stations, when one of our demands was better police welfare and training???
“Please stop stop stop stop! It all makes no sense whatsoever !! If you know anybody partaking in this, tell them to stop!! The singer said.
