The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has warned the All Progressives Congress, APC, against any try to rig the upcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State.
Kola Ologbondiyan PDP’s National Publicity Secretary warned that any attempt to rig the September 19 governorship election would be withstood.
Ologbondiyan said APC should desist from their plots to rig the election because people of Edo State will absolutely resist them.
The PDP leader told APC to be ready to accept loss during the election.
He said: “The APC, by now, should know that attempting to rig, by any way whatsoever, will surely be met with stiff resistance and dire consequences from the people.
“Our party cautions the APC to desist from their plots to rig the Edo election as the people of Edo will firmly resist them. The APC should rather blame themselves for their woes and get ready to accept their inevitable crushing defeat at the poll.”
It was gathered that PDP had alleged plans by the APC to rig the governorship election in Edo State.
