DYTM Celebrates Delta First Lady Tobore Oborevwori at 56 — See Why She’s Being Praised Across the State

Asaba | The Delta Youth Transformation Movement (DYTM) has extended warm birthday wishes to the wife of the Delta State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, as she marks her 56th birthday, commending her consistent humanitarian outreach and strong connection with grassroots communities.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the group described the First Lady as a caring and people-focused leader whose initiatives continue to empower women, encourage youths, and support vulnerable residents across Delta State.

The celebration began with a thanksgiving service at the Government House Chapel and is accompanied by a series of outreach programmes to orphanage homes and local communities. The humanitarian visits commenced in Ozoro, Isoko South Local Government Area, and are scheduled to conclude in Aniocha South Local Government Area.

DYTM noted that Deaconess Oborevwori has earned recognition for her community-driven programmes, charitable interventions, and social support activities designed to improve living conditions and promote inclusive development.

According to the movement, her humanitarian engagements have strengthened family welfare, expanded youth opportunities, and contributed positively to social growth across the state.

Speaking for the organisation, DYTM President Comrade Isioma Melekwe Odozi said the First Lady’s initiatives complement Governor Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda — Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.

He stressed that effective governance must focus not only on infrastructure but also on programmes that address the everyday needs of citizens.

Odozi further described the First Lady as a strong link between government and grassroots communities, helping to ensure governance remains inclusive and people-centred.

The movement also highlighted the humanitarian impact of the U Matter Charity Foundation, the First Lady’s pet project, which continues to provide support and empowerment to vulnerable populations across Delta State.

Key interventions listed include: women empowerment programmes and vocational starter packs, support for widows and vulnerable families, donations to orphanages and welfare homes, medical outreach and assistance to indigent patients, community relief programmes in rural areas, youth mentorship and advocacy for responsible citizenship.

DYTM Secretary-General Adm. Tola O. Ajimisogbe described Deaconess Oborevwori as an inspiring figure for young people, noting her consistent advocacy for discipline, peaceful coexistence, and responsible leadership.

At its 15th Executive Meeting, the movement resolved to honour the First Lady for her humanitarian contributions and her role in promoting inclusive development across Delta State.

DYTM also prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and greater accomplishments for Deaconess Oborevwori as she celebrates her 56th birthday and continues her service to the people of Delta State.
