Popular Canadian rapper, Aubrey Drake Graham simply known as Drake has become the first artiste ever to surpass 50 billion joined streams on Spotify.

Drake is one of the streaming service’s most popular artists with his 2018 song ‘God’s Plan’.
The Chart Data website, which keeps regular records on chart activities and streaming figures, announced that Drake has surpassed 50 billion streams on the music app.
The Toronto rapper’s next album, titled ‘Certified Lover Boy’, is set to be released this year. It had been thought that the record could emerge this month, but no announcement has been made as to that effect.
The tweet posted by the Chart Data reads:
“@Drake has now surpassed 50 billion streams on Spotify across all credits. He is the first artiste in history to hit this milestone.”
According to a breakdown of data by ChartMasters, Drake is credited as the lead artist in 35,704,203,269 streams for songs on the music app.
For songs on which Drake is credited as a featured artiste, he’s amassed a whopping 14,297,795,559 total streams.
The total amounts to 50,001,998,828 billion streams.
Drake marked the new feat via his Instagram story.
Following the release of the album, the Spotify numbers are expected to increase by the end of the year.
