Popular Nigerian singer, Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has threatened to sue Davido’s Personal Logistics Manager Isreal Afeare, for libel and defamation.

DJ Cuppy revealed that she’s suing Davido’s aide over claims he made concerning her rift with singer Zlatan Ibile.
“For the record…..There have been no breaches of my contractual agreement regarding the song Gelato as confirmed by lawyers.
“However as @IsrealDMW publicly inaccurately declared I owe an artist money, I am suing him for libel and defamation. See you in court Isreal.”
Recall that DJ Cuppy tweeted that Zlatan had blocked her on every social media platform for over 10 months for unknown reasons despite featuring on her hit 2019 hit ‘Gelato’.
She wrote at the time, “10 months later and I sometimes still wonder why Zlatan Ibile blocked me on WhatsApp and Instagram without ever saying why; we were friends…AND “Gelato” was a hit! I’m human and I have feelings too”
Zlatan on his part ignored Cuppy’s tweets and then denied knowing her when he was asked in an interview what caused the rift between them.
Meanwhile, Afeare Isreal claimed that Cuppy refused to pay Zlatan a dime after the collaboration on ‘Gelato’.
He alleged that DJ Cuppy invited Zlatan to Abuja for a fundraiser where she allegedly made billions of naira but did not pay for his accommodation and upkeep. Isreal DMW claimed Zlatan had to cater for himself and his team with his own money.
Israel, described Cuppy as a fake friend who was just taking advantage of Zlatan because her father is wealthy.
He wrote: “kudos to someone like Zlatan, who took a bold step by flushing out a fake friend like Cuppy, who was just using his head, all in the name of my papa na Otedola.
“Zlatan did a hit collabo with her, ordinary one kobo he no see. She also took Zlatan to Abuja for her fund-raising, where she made billions of naira and didn’t even remember Zee for one kobo till tomorrow.
“No accommodation, no feeding. Zlatan had to even spend his money at Transcorp Hilton to carter for everyone including me. Dis na 2021 abeg.”
Recall that “Gelato” was released in 2019 and has gathered over a million YouTube views across the world.
