The Delta State Government has approved a lease-to-own contract for the Oghara Independent Power Project in Ethiopia West Local Government Area.
This was disclosed to newsmen by the Commissioner of Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, immediately after the State Executive Council meeting at the Government House in Asaba on Thursday.
According to the Commissioner, the State Executive Council decided lease-to-own instead of outright sale as earlier advised. This is to ensure that the state government gets value for its investment in the project.
