Davido has again lost another of his close associate and this one happened to be his official cameraman, Fortunate Ateumunname Peter, better-known as Fortune.
It was gathered by Goldennationblog.com that Fortune drowned at a photoshoot location in Lagos on Tuesday evening.
The celebrity photographer before his death is 24 years old and he was the chief official photographer of Davido Music World (DMW).
According to a source, Fortune was born and raised in Bariga, Lagos but hails from Owerri in Imo state. He was the brain behind most of Davido’s photos on Instagram and a member of his crew.
Fortune happened to be the second close associate of the 30BG leader who has died this year. His death came just three months after the death of Davido’s chief logistics manager, Habeeb Ademola Uthman, popularly known as Obama DMW, who died as a result of a heart condition.
According to a check made on the Fortune social media page on Instagram, it was gathered that the celebrity photographer’s last post was shared on his birthday, which was July 10, 2021. Also, another check was made on his website, and it revealed he started as a graphic designer who later evolved from photography to video directing before involving in other forms of motion pictures.
He portrayed himself as a thoroughbred Lagosian, as the Afrocentric and hustling character of the Lagos life inspired his works.
As Davido’s photographer, this accorded him the opportunity to have toured over 50 cities around the world, including the Middle East, United Kingdom, South Africa, and other parts of Africa, spreading his love for his craft and documenting appealing images to the world of art.
Fortune co-founded a production company named Gracelle Productions with his partner David Olaleye. The production outfit serves as a hub where other creatives and artists can collaborate on projects. It also renders production solutions in diverse capacities.
Recall last year December, Davido’s bodyguard, Tijani Olamilekan aka TeeJay died after a battle with an illness. In October 2017, the Assurance singer lost three friends to death in one week.
