Davido recently spoke about his excitement over being nominated for the newly introduced ‘Best African Performance’ category at the 66th edition of Grammy Awards, which will take place on Sunday, February 4, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The 31-year-old singer has also earned nominations in two other categories — ‘Best Global Album’ for his latest album, ‘Timeless’; and ‘Best Global Music Performance’ for his track ‘Feel’.
In a recent interview, Davido expressed his belief that he “deserved to have clinched 20 Grammy Awards” and his hope that he will win some of these prestigious awards soon.
With the release of ‘Timeless’, his fourth studio album, on March 31, 2023, Davido has continued to make waves in the music industry, surpassing one billion streams across major platforms on August 3. It is only a matter of time before he clinches some of those Grammy awards he so rightly deserves.
