Crisis Allegations Fabricated, Delta APC Standing Strong — DYTM

Delta APC Unity Solid, Crisis Claims Baseless – DYTM Fires Back at Social Media AllegationsAsaba, Delta State – The Delta Youth Transformation Movement (DYTM) has firmly dismissed as false and misleading a recent social media post titled “Breaking News! Enough is Enough…”, which alleged an internal crisis and widespread manipulation within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.

The youth movement described the publication as a deliberate attempt to create tension, sow division, and undermine the growing unity within the party.

This position was reached during the 8th Executive Council (EXCO) meeting of DYTM, held under the leadership of its President, Comrade Isioma Melekwe, and the Secretary General, Adm. Tola O. Ajemisogbe, PhD. According to the EXCO, members carefully examined the claims before unanimously rejecting them.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Efecha Collins Gold, the Movement described allegations of “massive manipulations” across local government areas as exaggerated narratives aimed at inflaming political tensions.

The EXCO stated that the publication reflects the imagination of fragmented elements seeking relevance through division, warning that such narratives could mislead party members and the public.

Addressing the meeting, DYTM President Comrade Isioma Melekwe called for political maturity and unity among stakeholders.

“Political growth comes with maturity. We must resist the temptation to divide ourselves into artificial camps of ‘old’ and ‘new’ members. APC in Delta State is one family, and no serious-minded stakeholder should promote labels that weaken our collective strength,” he said.

The Movement emphasised that the leadership of the APC in Delta State remains united and continues to engage in consultations and collective decision-making processes.

In his remarks, Secretary General Adm. Tola O. Ajemisogbe, PhD, cautioned against what he described as revisionist narratives.“Those who kept APC in Delta State in prolonged internal uncertainty for years should not now posture as defenders of democracy. Unity did not happen by accident; it came through the wisdom of elders and genuine leaders who chose peace over personal ambition,” he stated.

DYTM also reiterated that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has publicly clarified that there is no distinction between “old” and “new” APC members in Delta State, describing any contrary narrative as imaginary and counterproductive.

The EXCO maintained that recent criticisms stem from the discomfort of a few individuals unsettled by the growing cohesion within the party, adding that the consolidation of unity within the Delta APC is irreversible.

The Movement concluded by affirming that the Delta APC remains focused, united, and forward-looking, stressing that attempts to manufacture a crisis will not succeed.
