Court Rules in Favor of Ned Nwoko, Orders Release of Frozen $1.2 Million

The City of London Magistrates’ Court has ruled in favor of Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, ordering the release of $1,199,965 that was frozen in an account belonging to Mr. Keith Davies. Nwoko, who represents the Delta North senatorial district in the Nigerian Senate, is set to regain access to the funds following a court decision that confirmed him as the rightful owner.

The sum in question had been transferred by Senator Nwoko to a middleman named Abubakar, who subsequently transferred it to Davies, acting as a broker. However, the funds were frozen by authorities pending an investigation into the ownership dispute.

During court proceedings, the presiding judge determined that the money rightfully belonged to Senator Nwoko and directed HSBC to release the funds to his legal representatives within seven days.

This decision marks the end of a legal battle over the ownership of the funds. More details on the ruling and subsequent actions are expected to follow.
