In Bauchi State, the leaders of Shira Local Government, Chairman Abdullahi Ibrahim Beli and his Deputy Usman Adamu, have been removed from office.
This happened after a group of councillors investigated them and found out they were not managing the government’s money well and were not doing their jobs properly. The councillors also said the two leaders misused their positions and broke the trust of the people.
A total of 10 councillors, led by Wali Adamu, signed a paper to officially remove the Chairman and his Deputy immediately.
One of the councillors told reporters that the two leaders had been warned many times but did not change. Because of this, they lost the trust of the people, and the councillors had no choice but to remove them from office.
