Commissioning of ultra-modern Prof Chike Edozien secretariat and 8.5 MW IPP station in Asaba

Ahead of the historic commissioning of the ultra-modern Professor Chike Edozien State Secretariat complex as well as the 8.5 MW independent Power Plant (lPP) station in Asaba the state capital by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the Political Adviser (South) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Omimi Esquire, has stated that Delta is the state to beat in infrastructural development among states of the federation.

Speaking with newsmen in Warri, Omimi Esquire said these multi-billion naira projects slated for commissioning have once again placed Governor Okowa on a far higher pedestal of a true trailblazer.

The Governor’s Political Adviser noted that with the level of professionalism and expertise displayed in the construction of both megaprojects, there was every need to celebrate the Governor as a stickler to details and precision in project execution.

Noting that the multi-billion naira Secretariat complex, unarguably the best in the country, will not only save the government the huge annual cost of renting buildings for ministries which was the old order but will also ensure seamless operations as government business will now be done in one location, thus enhancing the ease of doing business as well as saving valuable time spent on moving from one ministry to the other across the state.

For the 8.5 MW independent Power Plant station which will supply electricity to the Prof Chike Edozien Secretariat complex and the adjoining complexes, this is another eloquent testimony of the Okowa administration,s foresight in ensuring that the state civil servants do their work in a conducive atmosphere of uninterrupted power supply.

While welcoming the Vice President and his Entourage to Delta, Omimi Esquire expressed optimism that his boss the Governor will not only finish strong but will continue to spread the dividends of democracy across the three senatorial districts of the state to the shame of color-blind critics.
