Six persons have been reported dead in a road accident that happened between Ore and Ondo town.
It was gathered that the accident involved a commercial Volkswagen Jetta car numbered REE 446 KP and an articulated truck.
Witnesses who were at the scene of the accident explained that the truck had a brake failure and hit the car coming from the opposite way.
Good Samaritans had to use an ax to cut the car to pieces in order to save the victims.
Ahmed Hassan, Ondo Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who validated the incident said the injured were taken to the hospital.
He warned drivers to always check their vehicles and avoid over speeding in order to reduce the rate of road accidents.
