Talented Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu Rex, popularly known as Burna Boy, has left social media in excitement following the release of his fifth studio album, Twice As Tall.
The singer’s much-awaited album was released today Friday 14 August 2020.
The album which was an instant hit recorded five million streams within an hour of release and also generated a wave review.
According to social media reactions, ‘Twice As Tall ‘ which was executive produced by Diddy is expected to defeat Burna Boy’s last year’s album, the Africa Giants.
Expressing excitement over the new album, Diddy tweeted with a note to Burna Boy: “CONGRATULATIONS KING @BURNABOY!!!!!!! # TWICEASTALL”.
Following the release of the album, Nigerians rushed to social media, claiming who is better among Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid.
Reacting to comments raised between which artists is better by social media users, singer, and politician, Banky W condemned the sentiment people place when comparing artists.
The singer who tweeted in his official tweeter handle said acknowledging Burna Boy’s unquestionable greatness doesn’t mean they must put Wizkid, Davido, and anyone else down.
Burna Boy’s new album is available in eight streaming services: Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud, Amazon Music, Tidal, Pandora, iTunes, and Deezer.
The album which was recorded in Lagos because of the COVID-19 lockdown had Burna Boy’s mom as part of the production with Diddy.
The album contains 15 tracks featuring, Chris Martin (‘Monster you made’), Stormzy ( ‘Real Life’), Youssou N’Dior (‘Level Up/Twice As Tall’), and Naughty by Nature among many others. The album also includes contributions from Nigeria’s Spaceship collective, Mike Dean, Timberland and others.
