Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has approved the appointment of Osarodion Ogie Esq as Secretary to the State Government.
In a statement, the governor said this was the only political appointment to be made for now.
Obaseki added that all other appointments are postponed to the first week of February 2021.
Recall that Governor Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, were Thursday inaugurated for second term as the governor of Edo state.
The inauguration, which held at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, had in attendance President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented by Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who was also represented by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Edobor Iyamu, governors of Sokoto, Delta and Bayelsa states, Aminu Tambuwal, Ifeanyi Okowa, and Douye Diri.
National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus; Vice-Chairman of PDP South-south, Dan Orbih; former Minister of Works, Mike Onolememe; Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly Marcus Onobun; Chief Judge of Edo State, Esther Edigin and state Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo, among others, also attended the event.
