Ace Nigerian comedian, Bright Okorocha, better known as Basketmouth, has signed a mega music contract with the executives of Empire, a US-based record label in San Francisco.
The award-winning comedian made this known through a post he shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday.
According to Basketmouth in his post, he stated that “Hey guys, did I mention that I have been signed by @empire? Well…I am (sic),” added.
The deal comes after Basketmouth’s successful album YABASI, released in 2020.
The deal will also give the comedian an improvement, a budget, and marketing support for his forthcoming project.
Empire is an independent record label that handles music licensing and distribution and boasts a lineup of successful Nigerian artistes such as Olamide and Fireboy DML.
