The Ovie of Arhavwarien kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty Solomon Onajeta Akporhiere, Okukeren 111, has applauded his Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, governor of Delta State, for the historic appointment of his subject, Barrister Jennifer Omamoya Adasen, as a member of the state executive council, as a sign of glad tidings for Arhavwarien kingdom.
In a message endorsed by the Arhavwarien monarch, Governor Okowa has demonstrated his love for the minorities in the state and opined that this first-ever elevation of his subject as a Commissioner will go down in history as the first-ever recognition of the invaluable support the people of the area have always made to the success of his administration by their total number of votes recorded during elections.
Okukeren 111, who described Governor Okowa as a leader with foresight and “roving eyes” determined to transform every nook and cranny of Delta to the best of his ability, expressed hope that the long-overdue Arhavwarien bridge project will be initiated and completed within the lifespan of the Okowa administration.
The Arhavwarien royal father while congratulating Barrister Jennifer Omamoya Adasen on her historic appointment, charged her to be a good ambassador of Arhavwarien in particular and Ughelli south in general, and strive to carry all and sundry along while giving utmost loyalty to the Governor who has allowed her to join him in the task of finishing strong through the administration’s Stronger Delta vision.
He further thanked the various leaders in the local government for supporting the new commissioner for science and technology by recommending her for an appointment, praying that their labor of love for his subject will not be a source of regret to them.
According to the Arhavwarien monarch in his words, he said: “On behalf of my family, the Arhavwarien council of chiefs and the peaceful and law-abiding citizens of the great Arhavwarien kingdom, l, Okukeren 111, the Ovie of Arhavwarien kingdom, hereby place on record, our heartfelt gratitude to his Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Governor of Delta State, on his appointment of our daughter, Barrister Jennifer Oma Adasen, as a Commissioner in his administration. Words fail us to thank you your Excellency for this great honor and recognition of Arhavwarien. We are resolved to support you more than before to enable you to finish strong and have it reflected in the Arhavwarien kingdom. Also, as you have appointed our daughter, we know you will give us a parting gift as you promise to finish strong. Our bridge spanning less than 300 meters is what we appeal to you to drive its initiation and completion before you leave office on May 29, 2023. We are confident you will make us proud and give us a sense of belonging, your Excellency.”
