The former House of Assembly Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Isoko North, Hon Chief Israel Okpure Akegwure has officially returned to the ruling party in Delta State.
Speaking to journalists at his country home in Ozoro, Hon Akegwure stated that his move back to the PDP is a symbolic one that saw the active movement of not fewer than two third of APC leaders, chieftains, and youths in Isoko North to the People’s Democratic Party.
Hon Akegwure also hinted that after active service in the APC, the APC has no reward System beyond what’s good on paper and not in reality while stressing that the self-acclaimed Emperor of the APC in the state, in the person of DSP Ovie Omo Agege, the Gubernatorial candidate of the APC has zero regards for Isoko nation and it’s people and will not get a single vote from Isoko north and the entire Isoko nation in extension.
Speaking further Hon Akegwure stated that his move to PDP was not for monetary gains or selfish reasons, but a move to ensure that Isoko North is appropriately recognized and well placed in the state and the country in extension as they key into the Atiku/Okowa and Sheriff/Onyeme 2023 mandate for unity and more. “I didn’t go back because I was offered a penny, but I went head-on because of the good of the people and the land, as PDP offers a platform that will help take Isoko North to greater heights from jobs creation to empowerment plus talent hunt amongst others.”
“To me, politics is a means of bringing advancement to your people, which in turn propels you to greater heights. I have a dream for the good people of Ozoro, Isoko North, and Isoko Nation at large, and the APC isn’t the right platform to achieve that dream.”
Hon Akegwure stressed that “The party APC itself is a dream killer and full of self-centered leaders at the state and National level, hence my emphasis on why they have to be seriously voted out come Saturday, February 25, and not given a chance come March 11 at the polls.” He added.
