The Delta State Police Command has arrested another suspected killer who allegedly killed a 50-year-old woman for ritual purposes.
The suspect identified as Akpoghene Idogo Shoemaker, a male, 20-year-old was arrested on Friday, August 6, 2021, in Kwale Town, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State following a tip-off.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday, August 7, 2021, by the acting Delta State Police Commands’ Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright.
According to the statement, it was gathered that some other suspects contacted Akpoghene and his friend, one Onos Simon to kill the woman who is a pepper seller with the sum of N100,000.
The Police statement read: “Sequel to the earlier arrest of one Onos Simon over the allege murder of one Mrs. Patience Komore aged 50 for ritual purpose, following a tip-off, the DPO Oleh SP Paul Oboware ON 6/8/21 led a combined team of police/vigilante and some community leaders to Kwale Town where one Akpoghene Idogo Shoemaker ‘M’ 20Yrs was arrested, the suspect has been on the run after the alleged murder of the woman who is a pepper seller alongside his friend who was earlier arrested, effort to arrest the remaining suspect who contacted and paid them the sum of #100,000 for the dastardly act is ongoing.
