Popular Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo, wife-to-be, Fancy Acholonu, a Nigerian US-based model canceled their engagement.
On Wednesday, August 25, Fancy removed all the pictures of her ex-fiance from her Instagram and also deleted their joint IG account @falexxforever that same day.
Fancy while announcing the breakup, took to her Instagram page on Thursday to confirm the stories that her betrothal with the actor has been called off.
According to her post on IG, she wrote: “Hey guys I am writing to inform you all officially that I have ended my relationship and I have called off the wedding with Alex Ekubo.”
She added that she was aware that the news would come as a shock to many, however, maintained that she had made the best decision for herself “because it is important that everyone finds their happiness and live in their truth.”
She also added “At this time my family and I ask you all to please respect our privacy. Thank you so much!”
Meanwhile, Alex Ekubo has remained notably silent with no statements on the circumstance from his end despite the buzz the news has resulted in.
Recall, in May this year, Goldennationblog.com gathered that the couple who had kept their relationship out of public eyes, officially announced their engagement which they also scheduled their traditional wedding to hold on November 20th in Imo State while the church wedding was slated for November 27 in Lagos State.
