On Tuesday, another Police facility has been attacked by unknown gunmen, a day after attacking the Owerri Correctional Center.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday evening in the Divisional Police Command in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
According to a source, the gunmen came in buses and large numbers, shoot sporadically, freed all the suspects in detention before setting the facilities ablaze.
Recall on Monday, gunmen had also attacked the State Police Headquarters where they reportedly burnt almost all the vehicles that were parked.
The Spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, Orlando Ikeokwu confirmed the incident to newsmen.
He also stated, no casualty on the part of the police, stating that three vehicles were burnt, no arms were lost while insisting that, the armory at the station is intact.
Ikeokwu said, “Ehime Mbano Police Division has been attacked, no casualty on the part of the police, no loss of arms, three vehicles burnt.”
