Asaba, April 7, 2025 – On Monday, the team organizing the Asaba Food and Music Festival (AFAM FEST), led by Chijioke Ogbechie, paid a special visit to the Executive Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Ezenyili Kelvin Obi, to officially tell him about the exciting event coming soon.
AFAM FEST is planned to take place on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Summit Gardens in Asaba. It is set to be the biggest food and music festival in Asaba, and it promises a lot of fun, good music, and delicious meals. The event is not just about enjoyment—it is also meant to promote the local culture, support small businesses, and attract visitors to the city.
During the visit, Hon. Kelvin Obi was very happy about the idea. He praised the young team behind the festival and encouraged them. He said that their work is a great service to the community, especially because they are helping people discover the best places to eat in Asaba.
In his own words, he said: “First of all, we need to appreciate them because, as you know, we believe what we are doing is a service to humanity and carry them along. At least they are helping us to source out the best places to eat in Asaba. As a local government, we promise to support them and promise to be there also.”
The chairman also endorsed the festival and promised to attend on Easter Sunday. The visit ended on a high note, with the AFAM FEST team and the local government looking forward to making the event a big success.
AFAM FEST 2025 is one event everyone in Asaba and beyond will want to attend!
