In a major effort to support local farmers and improve food production, the Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF) is set to distribute insecticides to 450 farmers across five centers in the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency of Kogi State.
This agricultural support project, officially tagged “Agricultural Insecticides Support to 450 Farmers in 5 Centers,” is aimed at helping farmers protect their crops from pests and increase their yields. The project is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM.
Distribution Venues
The distribution will be done in the following five locations:
1. Ijumu-Oke Centre – United Primary School, Ayere
2. Ijumu-Arin Centre – St. Paul Primary School, Iyara
3. Gbede Centre – Model Primary School, Aiyetoro Gbede
4. Kabba Centre – St. Augustine College, Kabba
5. Bunu Centre – Oke Offin Town Hall
Each center will receive equal support, ensuring fair and widespread impact across the constituency.
Why It Matters
The insecticides being distributed will help farmers fight crop-damaging pests—one of the major challenges local farmers face. With this support, farmers are expected to see improved harvests, which will not only benefit their families but also boost food supply in the community.
This initiative is part of the ongoing commitment by Prince Olatunji Olusoji through his foundation to support agriculture, empower rural communities, and improve livelihoods.
