The National Chairman of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ralph Okey Nwosu, has announced the willingness of the party to offer free tickets to Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, Omotola Jelade-Ekeinde, Ahmed Musa, and DJ Switch to run for any elective office of their choice in the 2023 general elections.
The Chairman made this revelation while receiving the certificate of endorsement from the party as the one-party for Nigerian youths in the next election.
Mr. Nwosu explained that the reason for the choice of celebrities to run on the platform of the party is that entertainers have given back to the country more than elected politicians of today.
According to him, the endorsement will enable the celebrities to contest for any elective position namely, governorship, senatorial, or the presidential office on the ADC platform provided they meet the requirements stipulated in the 1999 constitution as amended or the guidelines provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The Chairman in his remarks also praised Ahmed Musa who after many years in Europe and the Middle East signed up to play for a local club, Kano Pillars.
