Nigerian legendary music star, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba, has donated an ultra-modern recording studio to the music department of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
2baba made this revelation in a video post he shared on his Instagram page after commissioning the project on Tuesday.
He also shared a picture of himself and the vice-chancellor of the University, Eyitope Ogunbodede after the studio was commissioned.
According to the video, he was seen inside the studio interacting with some of the University officials and students while also appreciating the leadership of the institution for earlier inducting him into its school of music.
Sharing the posts, 2baba wrote “Sometimes ago, I was honored by the Great OAU as I was inducted into the school of music as a fellow of the school of music. Today, I just commissioned the multimillion naira studio I built for the music department in OAU file-life. Up next is Benue State University.”
He also revealed his plans to build a similar studio at the Benue State University (BSU).
The 46-year-old musician has organized himself as a household name in the Nigerian music industry and has also been vocal about problems affecting the socio-economic growth of the country.
He has recently urged youths to re-evaluate their importance and action.
