US Denies Involvement in Crash that Killed Iran President, Cites Raisi’s Controversial Legacy

Washington, D.C. — Following the tragic helicopter crash, the White House commented on the legacy of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who perished in the incident.

The National Security Council spokesman John Kirby stated, “This was a man who had a lot of blood on his hands,” citing Raisi’s involvement in severe human rights abuses within Iran and support for militant groups like Hamas.

Despite criticism, the US expressed regret for the loss of life and offered condolences. The US State Department also conveyed official condolences, reiterating support for the Iranian people’s pursuit of human rights. Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin denied any American involvement in the crash and indicated no changes to the US military’s regional posture.

It was gathered that the crash occurred near the Azerbaijan border while returning from a dam inauguration, claiming the lives of President Raisi, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian, and six others.
