Delta State Governor’s Convoy Involved in Asaba Crash, Leaves Two in Critical Condition

A tragic incident unfolded today as the convoy of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori was involved in an accident near Asaba. The accident occurred shortly after passing the Federal College of Education Technical, opposite the GSM steel company in Asaba.

Eyewitnesses on the scene described a sudden burst tire as the likely cause of the accident. According to one witness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, “We were on the other side going to Ibusa when the incident happened. What happened I think was a burst tire because we were on the other side going to Ibusa.”

Both victims are reported to be in critical condition. The injured were occupants of one of the black jeeps in the convoy when the tire burst while in motion.
