Delta Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, Highlights 317 Ongoing Projects to Celebrate One Year In Office

In an impressive display of determination and resilience, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori proudly announced that Delta State has undergone a remarkable transformation into a massive construction site during his first year in office. With a staggering 317 ongoing projects across the state, Delta is witnessing an unprecedented wave of development.

During his one-year anniversary thanksgiving at the Living Faith Church in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori revealed that his administration has initiated 76 projects, encompassing an impressive 171.49 kilometers of roads and 85.30 kilometers of drains. This ambitious undertaking showcases his commitment to improving the infrastructure and overall well-being of the people of Delta.

Governor Oborevwori humbly acknowledged that his emergence as Governor was nothing short of a divine choice. Reflecting on the highly contested PDP Governorship primaries and subsequent elections, he emphasized that his victory, despite facing formidable opponents, was a testament to his divine mandate to lead Delta. The successful resolution of the 38 court cases filed against him further solidified his position.

Admitting that the past year has been filled with challenges and trials, Governor Oborevwori expressed his gratitude for the unwavering faithfulness of God, which has enabled him to overcome obstacles. He attributed his success to the support of his dear wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, the Deputy Governor, his predecessor Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, former Governor Uduaghan, the judiciary, legislature, traditional institution, and other political appointees.

With unwavering confidence, Governor Oborevwori assured the people of Delta that their dreams of a prosperous state will become a reality. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to surpassing expectations and delivering on the promises of the MORE agenda. Despite the challenges faced, he remains resolute in his belief that with God’s guidance, Delta will continue to witness remarkable progress.

The thanksgiving service was attended by distinguished guests, including serving and non-serving Senators, such as Senator Joel Onowakpo Thomas representing Delta South senatorial District, Deputy Speaker DTHA, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, and the Chairman of the Delta Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Felix Mujakperuo, Orhue 1. Also present were the state Chief Judge, Hon Justice Theresa Diai, her Customary Court of Appeal colleague, Hon Justice Orishedere, and PDP State Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, among others. The overwhelming support from various stakeholders further solidified the unity and determination to drive Delta towards a brighter future.
